Fall Out Boy - Thnks fr th Mmrs (2007)
This is quite a clever music video because it is a music video of a band filming a music video, with the comical difference that monkeys are doing the filming. Throughout the video there are fast paced cuts that are synchronous to the music, and there are a mixture of shots of the band performing and the things that are happening throughout the time they would be filming, so there are two main storylines. There are midshots of the band performing and then there will be a long shot of them that shows the whole studio, reminding us that they are recording the video in a studio, so it is kind of like a pretend behind the scenes video of them making a video. The band are all wearing posh suits which suggests that they are quite rich, making them appear superior to the monkeys, but then the monkeys are actually controlling the band and telling them what to do, which is funny to watch as this would not happen in real life. I like how the video has used two clips of the band performing and a storyline cut together because it gives you something to follow and keep you interested, but it is still a music video with the band performing.
My Chemical Romance - Helena (2005)
Busted - Crashed The Wedding (2003)

The video starts off with the band members impersonating Adam Ant, Michael Jackson and Boy George, then the band members kidnap them and crash the wedding, as the title suggests. It is a cleverly edited video as the band all play different guests at the wedding, and at some points the same band member is on the screen twice playing different characters. When they are being themselves, they are wearing typical "cool" teenager clothes from the 00's, which makes their target audience (teenagers) look up to them as cool and make them want to be like them, which is a good marketing technique as the target audience will want to buy their music and merchandise to become more like the band members. The whole video is edited together as if it has been filmed in one continuous shot, which clearly isn't the case as the same people are on the screen multiple times, which isn't possible. I like how the video has simple camera shots and just follows the band without cuts, and the video has a comical storyline, but I think it could be improved by having more interesting camera shots such as low and high angle shots and maybe some more close ups.
